Carpet Binding Tape

There are numerous different sizes and types of binding tape available today, below we will briefly try to outline what is available and what sizes of carpet binding tape you can stock.

Polyester Binding Tape This is your standard run of the mill tape used by many carpet binders it is produced all over North America and is available in 155 or more colors, being the most common tape available it is also the cheapest  with wholesale rates ranging from $6 in the USA to $9 in Canada, sizes generally range between 3/4" and 1 1/4".
Cotton Binding Tape Cotton binding tape is a more expensive version of the above polyester tape, it has a more textured look and has a much smaller variety of colors (48), available in 3/4" and 1 1/4" widths.
Sisal Binding Tape Available in 3" widths this tape is primarily used to give rugs a luxurious finished look. Available in over 50 colours you can match it to just about any colour of carpet pile.
Serging Binding Tape Serging tape is what many carpet binders use to simulate the "serged" look without spending thousands of dollars on an extra carpet binding machine, this is the second most expensive tape just under 3" Sisal tape.
