NC Carpet Sample Binding Machine

The NC Sample Binder (also known as the SB) is self oiling, bobbinless and known as the one of the worlds fastest carpet binding machines of its kind, capable of blistering speeds of up to 60 feet per minute under ideal conditions.

 However while its name indicates that it was designed for doing manufacturer carpet samples we recommend this carpet binding machine for people doing long strips of cove wall base if your shop is equipped with an NC 250 six strip base cutter you can really burn through wall base jobs in no time! In our 2 years of work with this machine I would rate it a B+, the manufacturer NC-Carpet lists these machines for $6500.00USD but can be talked down to $6000-6300.

Pros

Fastest carpet binding machine available!

Strong electric motor.

Easy to replace needles and threads.

Bobbinless.

Self Oiling

If you do a lot of long wall base strips this is machine is perfect for you.

Cons

Some stitching errors every fifty or so feet, this is probably timing related but occurs no matter how many times we adjust it.

Has a tendency to run the needle so hot it melts the monofilament at least once on every job we do.

Price, it’s just a fast machine for doing wall base but to often you have to stop to cut threads off carpet strips anyways so on most jobs you won’t notice much of a speed increase.
