NC TPB Carpet Binding Machine Review
The TPB embodies the phrase “jack of all trades, master of none” If your not looking to buy carpet binding machines specializing in each aspect of the business then this is the machine for you.
For those without much shop space or on a tight budget this is a pretty standard all purpose tabletop workhorse, using a dual puller system it can chomp through virtually any job applying binding or sergeing tape up to 3” wide to almost any type of carpet. However once you get past the versatility you quickly find it’s nothing but a stand in for a better machine. This doesn’t mean our TPB doesn’t occupy a special place in our hearts and those just getting started in the industry definitely need to give this machine some attention.
We’ve fed just about every type of carpet into our TPB over the past two years and it’s worked through them all without so much as a hiccup but good luck binding anything that doesn’t run in straight lines. If NC could just add the walking foot from the BAC model this machine would truly be the only machine you need in your shop.
Pros:
Can handle pretty much any job on any carpet in existence.
Can work with Serge tape, Fringing and all tapes up to 3”.
Solid overall machine.
Bobbinless.
Self Oiling.
Price.
Cons:
No way to do miltered corners.
Dual puller makes it hard to do angles.
